In this addition of Vexed Reviews, we will be reviewing another great product from our amazing and lovely sponsor HyperX, the HyperX Alloy Elite.
HyperX is mainly known for their headsets but with this keyboard it will definitely change, as it is simply a remarkable keyboard.
The original HyperX Alloy FPS considered by many a remarkable keyboard is a favourite among many gamers, however if you want what the HyperX Alloy FPS already had to offer and MORE you should definitely consider the Alloy Elite. This version of the Alloy offers media keys, palm rest and a light bar.
The Alloy Elite offers a not too flashy and simplistic design for you gamers who are tired of flashy RGB keyboards. Taking the frameless design of its predecessor, it adds a dedicated row of media keys above the existing main keyboard keys. These media keys include buttons for skipping forward and backwards, a mute button, play/pause button and a useful volume rocker.
The integrated palm rest which is a new addition gives you that extra added comfort for all the hardcore gamers and it helps you get a grip in those tense clutch situations. The palm rest features the same grip material seen on the HyperX Pulsefire gaming mouse which is another amazing peripheral from HyperX that you should definitely check out.
The Alloy Elite also features a light bar which spreads across the whole keyboard, located just between the media keys and standard keys, the illumination of the light bar adds to it’s sleek design.
The Alloy Elite does not disappoint when it comes to performance, with the keyboard being available in three different switches: Cherry MX Red, Brown and Blue. We would highly reccomend the Cherry MX Red switches for you hardcore up and coming esport stars. The other Brown and Blue switches would be recommended for typing, especially if you’re a writer like me it feels very comfortable on the fingers and I am using it to write this article too – so you know it’s used by the best!.
Another nice feature on the Alloy Elite are the different keycaps on the WASD keys and the numbers 1-4, utilising a titanium colour with a textured surface helping you distinguish your gaming keys from your standard keys and make sure you don’t mess up while gaming.
This HyperX keyboard, like most of its peripherals is a plug and play peripheral meaning you don’t need to install any software for the keyboard, you can get down and game at anytime, leaving you with more time to game. The light modes of the Alloy Elite can be changed with the click of the effects button, giving you the piece of mind spending less time fiddling with settings. The keyboard also features a quick access button which can adjust the backlight of the keyboard and enable the gaming mode which disables the Windows keys saving you from accidentally exiting the game.
The HyperX Alloy Elite is a remarkable keyboard, packed with all the good features you could ever want for a reasonable price of £110.99.
The Alloy Elite does never disappoints, just like the rest of the HyperX peripherals and that’s why we are partners with them as they provide the best gaming peripherals on the market, if you don’t believe us then simply look at the array of professional gamers who equip the Alloy Elite in their arsenal.Back to all articles
